Limestone tiles are widely used for creating beautiful, soothing floors, walls, counters, and sometimes backsplashes. Available in varying colors and shades ranging from yellow and white to black, gray and brown, limestone tiles offer ample design opportunities. Just like any other natural stone, limestone has smooth but porous surface. Limestone is smooth and its smoothness and durability is often increased by applying a layer of polish. In this blog, we give a stepwise guide to polish limestone flooring – Clean and wash the floor well. Rinse the floor after wash. Use a pH neutral cleanser to wash or wipe the floor surface. Buy or rent a hand polisher that enables polishing at a low speed using 3000-grit diamond pad. Always move the polishing machine anticlockwise in circular or oval motions.
